Marketing Manager - Middle School
The Marketing Manager - Middle School will provide market analysis, develop marketing plans, and create programs and strategies for sales readiness and channel support for our products and services. The candidate must be fluent in strategies and tactics to administer a successful product introduction into a new market segment. This new role will lead an initiative to introduce a middle school math series into multiple market segments, including state textbook adoptions, supplemental, and intervention markets. Preferably, this candidate will have a background in marketing mathematics curricula at the middle school level.
This position reports to the VP of Marketing and will also require close interaction with development, marketing communication professionals and sales management. The Marketing Manager 0 Middle School will be responsible for the following:
- Understanding middle school customer needs and defining solutions.
- Defining middle school buyer personas and determining market messages.
- Creating successful product introduction strategies and programs.
- Creating and executing product launch plans plus monitoring results.
- Developing strategies for lead generation from customer acquisition to retention.
- Creating standard presentations and demo scripts.
- Influence Web content strategies and marketing automation programs.
- Writing white papers and technical communiques.
- Developing collateral and sales tools.
- Documenting competitive threats and related industry news.
- Facilitating direct sales and channel training.
- Supporting trade shows and other company-sponsored events.
- Providing channel support and phone assistance.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- 3+ years of software marketing/product marketing experience.
- Knowledgeable about technology use in K-12 schools preferably in the middle grades.
- B.S. in Marketing
- An ability to travel (25%).
