Financial/Business Analyst
By providing forecasts and analysis of performance, our Financial/Business Analyst acts as an important bridge between our accounting group and other departments of the company. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with our Controller, this highly visible provides decision support and analysis to our senior management team.
With responsibilities in the accounting department, the Financial/Business Analyst must be able to provide financial reporting and business process support around the Oracle ERP system that is used throughout the organization. Strong verbal and written communications, excellent presentation skills and an ability to work well across the organization are important.
Responsibilities:
- Work with management on annual budgeting and planning function.
- Maintain update to planning system to facilitate projections and forward-looking analysis.
- Support senior management with preparation for board of directors meeting and other analytical projects.
- In conjunction with sales leadership, prepare and review quarterly sales commissions.
- Work with Controller and finance staff to support the month end close and financial reporting process.
- Prepare and report to senior management each week the monthly financial progress and financial outlook.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. CPA or MBA preferred.
- 5 years experience in finance and business with emphasis on financial and business modeling experience.
- Recent hands-on experience working with Oracle financial software required.
- Background in accounting desired.
- Ability to make presentations and communicate effectively with senior management and board of directors.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – demonstrated ability to work effectively with all areas of the organization.
