The Leader’s Role in Supporting the Student-Centered Classroom
Educators are gradually redefining the role of the principal from instructional leader with a focus on TEACHING to leader of a professional community with a focus on LEARNING. Participants will learn strategies to improve classroom instruction through shared leadership, data-teams, and instructional walk-throughs.
Jayme joined Carnegie Learning in May 2011 after spending 12 years as a teacher, curriculum specialist and principal with a focus on quality performance and results. As a former Malcolm Baldrige Examiner, Jayme helped school districts improve performance and get sustainable results through an improvement and innovation framework, site visits, and extensive written feedback. As the Senior Manager of School Improvement, Jayme works exclusively with schools utilizing the Carnegie Learning School Improvement and Innovation Model to guide mathematics implementation, professional development and data-analysis. With a focus on data-driven decision making, Jayme helps schools systematically collect and analyze data to guide a range of decisions to help improve the success of students and schools.
