Carnegie Learning Math Series for Grades 6-8

The Carnegie Learning Math Series is nearing final release, and will be available for implementation in the fall of 2011. The Math Series consists of textbooks for grades 6-8, as well as our new MATHia software, powered by Cognitive Tutor.

This series will provide you with all of the information you need for getting started with the Cognitive Tutor software.
Navigating the Curriculum Browser You will be introduced to the Curriculum Browser and view all levels of the Cognitive Tutor software.
Building your Class Roster You will learn how to add, edit, transfer, and delete students.
CARNEGIE LEARNING NATIONAL MATH INSTITUTE SERIES
This video series will provide you with effective mathematics instructional strategies for middle school and high school.
Facilitating Student-Centered Learning: Getting Started with Carnegie Learning

You will learn how to identify and implement the collaborative classroom model including: preparing the lesson, identifying student outcomes, initiating the task, facilitating the task, facilitating student presentations, and closing the lesson.

Instructional Decision Making: Managing Pacing, Standards, Benchmarks, and the Curriculum

You will learn how to identify resources to aid in setting benchmarks and hear examples from other educators and districts to establish individual guidelines for instructional pacing.

New! Online Textbook Review Access

Sample Flip BookCarnegie Learning has just launched a new online sample tool to help facilitate the review of our textbooks. This tool allows you to quickly and easily request access to browse student and teacher textbook materials. If you'd like to browse any new subjects, please register at www.carnegielearning.com/samples at any time. With your registration, you will be able to access digital page-flipping books for Bridge to Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II, or your state editions.

You can also utilize the new online sample tool to have access to the latest and greatest middle school content as it's developed! Carnegie Learning will post completed chapter content from our new middle school Math Series on a rolling basis as it becomes available. Your registration will give you immediate access to the current textbook sampler and we'll notify you when new material is available (while extending your review access if needed)!


New! Three Additional Administrative Reports

Attention Administrators and School Leaders, we now have three brand new Admin Reports available for you via the Carnegie Learning Resource Center:

School Instruction Report School Instruction Report will show you a summary of skills mastery, over time. You can use this report to view the number of skills encountered for the selected classes, curricula and time period.
School Content Deficiency Report School Content Deficiency Report will show you which units have lowest percentage of skill mastery. You can use this report to provide implementing schools with actionable data that targets critical learning deficits in order to provide additional support to achieve performance benchmarks.
 Start Curriculum Position Report Curriculum Position Report will show you statistics for all units within each selected curriculum. You can use this report to view the number of students are in each unit per school, as well as the percentage of skills mastered in each unit for all schools in your district.

2011 National Math Institute
