Mr. Hadley, in conjunction with veteran educators has designed and delivered professional development for teachers throughout the nation. He participated in the formulation of the student-achievement standards and assessments developed by the New Standards Project.

Hadley was an author and teacher trainer at Carnegie Mellon University’s PACT Center, as well as a consultant to the National Center on Education and Economy. Mr. Hadley has consulted with the College Board as a member of the SAT II committee and the Pacesetter project. He has published articles in the Mathematics Teacher and other publication, and has received numerous awards, including the Presidential Award for Mathematics Teaching in Pennsylvania.

Certified Implementation Specialists (CIS) provide much of Carnegie Learning’s initial professional development and are both current and former teachers who have implemented successfully Carnegie Learning’s courses. Each specialist must undergo a rigorous training process which includes a presentation of portions of the professional development program to a panel of experts. This panel evaluates the candidate’s performance and must certify that each candidate meets a standard of excellence. Only the most qualified become fully Certified Implementation Specialists.

Managers of School Partnerships (MSP) are full-time employees who have successfully implemented Carnegie Learning’s award winning curricula in a wide range of settings from small rural schools to large urban schools with diverse student populations. They are experts in both curriculum and implementation. These Managers, along with our Certified Implementation Specialists, provide our initial and ongoing professional development.

"Our MSP Amy Jones helps teachers to implement Cognitive Tutor correctly and effectively. When Amy visited classrooms, teachers received personal and immediate feedback about what was happening in their classrooms...This form of real-time, personalized professional development is very worthwhile and effective. I have had great attendance in all the workshops"
