What's New for 2011-2012?
Cognitive Tutor Software Enhancements

Carnegie Learning leverages a research-based approach, cognitive science, and instructor feedback to add new features and enhancements to the Cognitive Tutor software each year. The 2011-2012 version of the software will include the following enhancements:

  • Assessments by Unit: Assessments in custom curriculum are now created by unit instead of topic.

  • A Student Search button in Teacher's Toolkit that allows you to search for students to find out what class they are in.

  • The selection mechanism is now used for various other solver menu items that don’t involve scratchpads, which allows the student to select the portion of the expression they want to apply the menu item to, allowing students to just type the result of that operation without having to retype the entire expression.

  • Edit class sequence now allows you to reset student assignment to the first incomplete module in the sequence.
