What's New for 2012-2013?
MATHia and Cognitive Tutor Software Enhancements
Carnegie Learning leverages a research-based approach, cognitive science, and instructor feedback to add new features and enhancements to the MATHia and Cognitive Tutor software each year. The 2012-2013 version of the software will include the following enhancements:
MATHia Software (Grades 6-8)
- More Intuitive Immediate Feedback: Students receive immediate feedback if an answer is correct or incorrect as soon as a solution is entered.
- A new navigation header that provides students with more intuitive access to the features in all parts of the software.
- Students engage in step-by-step problem-solving as the default so students begin working with problems following specific steps, with the option to change settings to complete problems as a whole.
- New variety in Fluency Challenges now provides students with updated fun and engaging animations and problems.
Cognitive Tutor Software (Grades 9-12)
- Common Core State Standards-Aligned Curricula: Content for CCSS Algebra I and Integrated Math I is now available.
- More Intuitive Immediate Feedback: Students receive immediate feedback if an answer is correct or incorrect as soon as a solution is entered.
- Enhanced Teacher Toolkit functionality, including the ability to pull reports by date range.
- A fresh look and feel that provides students with more intuitive access to the features in the software.
- Student Security Enhancements: Students now need a password to enter the software.
