BULK ACTIONS ADDED TO GRADEBOOK

We've updated the Gradebook’s functionality to include the ability to make edits to multiple students’ assignments at the same time.

  1. From an Assignment card, click Gradebook.

  2. You are now at the Summary screen for that particular assignment. Click All Assignments.

  3. From the All Assignments Summary screen, you can now select the students (or all students) using the checkboxes located on the left-hand side of the list.

Note: By clicking the top-most checkbox, you will select ALL students.

  4. Once you’ve selected the required students, the Bulk Update button becomes active. Click Bulk Update.

  5. You are now viewing the Edit Assignments popup window, where you can change the Status, Date Range, Reports & Grading, Student Instructions, or Delete Assignment(s) and Submit/Unsubmit Assignment(s).

Note: Whatever action is taken on the Edit Assignments panel will be applied to ALL students that were selected.

COURSE REPORT USAGE (MINUTES) UPDATED

We've updated the Course Report Usage (minutes) details to include the actual amount of time a student spent on a particular lesson, assignment, or assessment.

  1. Navigate to the Course Report - Class Detail (By Student) screen for the class whose usage details you are interested in reviewing.

  2. Locate the lesson material (e.g., lesson, assignment, or assessment) for which you would like to review your students’ usage data.

Note: In the example above, we are looking at the Digital Interactive End of Topic 1 Assessment. The values shown in the row for Class Average and each individual student are rounded times.

  3. To find the actual amount of time a student spent on the lesson material, hover over the rounded value. A popup will appear that indicates the actual amount of time the student spent on the lesson material.

Note: The indicated student spent approximately 4 minutes on the assessment, but the popup tells us that they actually spent 4 minutes and 26 seconds.

ITEM & ASSIGNMENT LEVEL BUTTONS ADDED TO STANDARDS REPORT

We've updated the Standards Report - Student Details to include the capability to look at Item Level Scores or Assignment Level Scores.

  1. Navigate to the Standards Report - Class Detail (By Student) screen for the class whose details you are interested in reviewing.

  2. Expand the standards list and navigate to the standard (row) you would like to review. Click View for that standard row.

  3. You are now viewing the Standards Report - Student Details screen for the selected standard.

  4. From the Standards Report - Student Details screen, you can now access the Item Level Scores and Assignment Level Scores tabs.

  5. When selecting the Item Level Scores tab, the data displayed will be aligned at the item level.

Hovering over an image card at the top of a column will bring up a popup detailing the course, lesson material, and item number associated with that particular column score.

Note: Here we are hovering over the second image card. This tells us that both students scored 100% on Question 3 of the Digital Interactive End of Topic 1 Assessment.

  6. When selecting the Assignment Level Scores tab, the data displayed will be aligned at the assignment level.

Hovering over an image card will bring up a popup detailing the course and lesson material associated with that particular column score.

Note: Here we are hovering over the first image card. This tells us that Demo Student G6 01 scored 83% on the entire Digital Interactive End of Topic 1 Assessment, while Demo Student G6 02 scored 100%.

DATE FILTERS ADDED TO ASSIGNMENT PAGE

We've updated the Assignment page to include date filters to make searching for past/current assignments more efficient.

  1. From a Class card, click Assignments.

Note: Alternatively, you can select Assignments from the main menu bar at the top-right of the My Classes dashboard.

  2. You are now at the Assignments screen for that particular class.

  3. From the Assignments screen, you will see that the Search panel has changed.

    BEFORE:

    NOW:

  4. The Search panel was rethought to make searching for assignments more intuitive.
    • The “Filter By” header was added to indicate all of the search options that are provided.

    • A “Reset Filters” link lets you quickly reset all filters to their default state.

    • The “Date” (and calendar) allow you to adjust how assignments are filtered. By selecting a date and then choosing the appropriate filter from Show Assignments, you can narrow down your search quickly.

    • The “Content Name” header was added to clearly indicate that you can search for an assignment using the assignment’s name. Or, you can enter keywords related to the assignment (e.g., Module#, Topic #, Lesson#, etc.), which will pull up corresponding assignments.

    • The remaining fields (Class, Assigned To, Assigned By, and Status) have remained unchanged.
