Director of Education with the Denver-based Public Education & Business Coalition, is a National Board Certified teacher and now works with teachers, schools and districts to enhance math and science instruction for students of all ages. Her first book, Science as Thinking (Heinemann, 2009) is a practical guide for science teachers interested in growing students' reasoning skills as scientists. She is working on a second book, this one for math teachers interested in promoting 21st century skills. She received her MA in Education from Stanford University.
