Our Master Math Practitioners are out working with teachers to transform classrooms all over the country, day in and day out. We're super proud of them, and want to help you get to know them a little better!
Hometown: Kalamazoo, MI
Experience: Two years as a middle school math teacher and six years as a high school math teacher before joining Carnegie Learning eight years ago.
Why Carnegie Learning? "I used the curriculum in my own classroom and LOVED IT! I became a better teacher and my students became successful mathematicians and problem solvers! The text materials allow teachers to plan for richer lessons that require students to collaborate, problem solve, look for patterns, reason and justify their thinking. The software allows students to problem solve in a truly personalized manner. Students can work at their own pace while teachers are able to support their learning exactly where they need it."
Fun Fact: "If you need to know where to find me when I'm not working, look for me at the beach with my toes in the sand, the warm breeze in my hair, reading a book."
"Kristin provided a comfortable and open environment. She was able to make adjustments to our needs, answer our questions and provide additional resources."
"Every aspect of this professional development was well-executed and the delivery was amazing. These were an exceptional two weeks where I know that I will be able to apply everything that I have learned. I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing group of educators!!"
"Great training with a great trainer. The trainer altered the lesson on the fly to provide the most meaningful development time."
