Daniel began his education career teaching in underserved areas in Texas, focusing on students with language barriers and special needs. To make a bigger impact on more students, he moved into school administration as an assistant principal at elementary and middle schools, principal of a middle and a high school, and education coach in Atlanta, Georgia, and Birmingham, Alabama. He is a staunch believer that all students can achieve, regardless of their backgrounds, if they are provided opportunities. And he’s devoted his career to helping create those opportunities.
During his spare time, he likes to read, follow “his” Dallas Mavericks, do carpentry work, and watch sci-fi movies and TV shows. His favorite activity is relaxing with friends, family (including his wife of nearly 30 years) and four spoiled dogs.
