2019: A Year in Review

What a year it's been!

As we look ahead to the new year (and new decade), we'd like to take a minute to reflect on the exciting things that have gotten us to this point.

  • We partnered with Montour School District on America’s first public school Artificial Intelligence Middle School Program, building them a course to teach students how to code a computer game that could eventually beat them in tic-tac-toe.Montour District AI Program

  • PBS featured our Co-Founder and Chief Scientist Dr. Steven Ritter’s thoughts on AI in the classroom.

  • We launched LiveLab, giving teachers real-time insight into how student are using MATHia so they can guide, coach and intervene effectively.

  • We gave you an inside look at our ongoing partnership with One Stone, a student-led high school in Boise, Idaho that’s doing incredible things. (More to come in 2020!)

  • Evidence for ESSA at Johns Hopkins University rated our math solution as a Level 1 program demonstrating “Strong Evidence” of efficacy.

  • MATHia won 1, 2, 3… 4 awards for artificial intelligence in education!

    Near-Perfect Scores from EdReports
  • We celebrated our 10 year anniversary of LONG + LIVE + MATH: The National Institute with 300 passionate teachers and leaders in Bonita Springs, Florida.

  • We made a ton of improvements to our products and services to help simplify and enhance teachers’ lives.

  • We were recognized as a Top Workplace in Pittsburgh for the 3rd year in a row.

  • EdReports gave us the green light—both our Middle School and High School Math Solutions earned near-perfect scores.

  • The LONG + LIVE + MATH Movement turned two years old and reached nearly 7,000 members. It won 2019 “Marketer of the Year” Award from AMA Pittsburgh in the Educational Marketing category.

We can't wait to see what 2020 has in store. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to all of you!
