Janet is an experienced Spanish teacher who has taught all levels, including AP Language, AP Literature, dual credit courses, and native Spanish speaker courses. After teaching high school Spanish for seven years, she joined the Carnegie Learning team but continues to serve as an adjunct Spanish professor at Lone Star College in Houston and as an AP Reader for the AP Spanish Language and Culture Exam. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Geneva College and a Master's degree in Spanish, focusing on Hispanic Linguistics from the University of Pittsburgh. She enjoys traveling and experiencing new places. Janet also presents at local, regional, and national world language conferences on various topics, such as differentiated instruction and cultural biases in the classroom.
