Our Master Math Practitioners are out working with teachers to transform classrooms all over the country, day in and day out. We're super proud of them, and want to help you get to know them a little better!
Hometown: Born in Rochester, NY but Quincy, FL is home!
Experience: Before joining Carnegie Learning in 2018, Jasmine was a secondary math teacher for 10 years and served in school leadership for 5 years as an Instructional Coach and an Assistant Principal.
Why Carnegie Learning? Like many other math educators, I consider myself a lifelong learner and am specifically passionate about teaching and learning mathematics. Working for Carnegie allows me to have the best of both worlds. Here I am continuously afforded the opportunity to acquire new skills and knowledge while collaborating with like-minded teachers and learners. Most importantly, I chose to work for Carnegie Learning because I whole-heartedly believe that “all students can really learn and understand math” and that “all teachers can successfully and effectively teach math.” I believe in the Carnegie Learning way!
Fun Fact: Jasmine worked as a licensed nail technician all throughout college.
“ I love that Jasmine comes to every session just as eager to learn as the participants! Her open-minded approach creates a safe space and allows for optimal learning for all.”
“Her passion is evident in her willingness to go over and beyond to make sure that every teacher walks away with what they need. She has established a great rapport with the teachers and does an excellent job modeling the importance of relationships.”
