The brand new Carnegie Learning Middle School Math Solution textbooks are in classrooms and we're asking what teachers have to say about the new book (and its new look!)
We’re so proud of the teachers we work with who are living the LONG + LIVE + MATH spirit in their classrooms every day. This year, many of them are using the brand new Carnegie Learning Middle School Math Solution textbook, and they’ll be sharing their experiences with us throughout the fall!
Mark Beversdorf teaches 7th grade (including Pre-Algebra) at Horace Mann Middle School in Wausau, Wisconsin. A former Elite level triathlete and duathlete, he's helping students cross the finish line every day in his classroom.
"It's nice to have only one book. I also like that the 'Getting Started' section has students process a little about what's to come, and then there are a couple of activities that lead into the lesson.
The kids like that they can write, highlight, and do their assignments right in the book. They also like that they can tear out a topic at a time and carry it around in a binder.
The difficulty level in the textbook is appropriate, so our kids have more success."
