Support your students and your standards

High-Impact Tutoring

During each virtual session of your custom, high-impact tutoring program, our tutors reinforce what you're teaching in your classroom, so lessons seamlessly align to your curriculum and support grade-level, core instruction. Students talk through their work with tutors in real time to build their understanding and confidence, all while learning with high-quality instructional materials that are standards-aligned and research-based.

Our tutoring program aligns with design principles for effective tutoring published by EdResearch for Recovery (Annenberg Institute at Brown University and University of Virginia). We're committed to excellence and results, and we know that following the research is the best way to get there.

Over the course of ten weeks, we:

access

Assess each student's knowledge according to grade standards. Pre-, post-, and formative assessments guide progress monitoring and data-driven instruction.

establish

Establish goals that are exciting, achievable, and empowering. During regular partnership meetings, we'll check in on these goals, as well as attendance, academic progress, and feedback.

deepen

Deepen students' understanding through real-world applications and hands-on activities.

grow

Grow independent learning and critical thinking skills for lifelong academic success. But independent learning doesn't happen in isolation: students are grouped by identified area(s) of need and grade level.
