There are many ways to connect Alexander Hamilton, the father of the U.S. financial system, with mathematics.

LONG + LIVE + MATH at Hamilton

Well... not yet.

But our Director of Engagement recently brought some LONG + LIVE + MATH spirit to Broadway after winning the Hamilton lottery. Here’s a math question for you: what were the odds of her winning? The Data Incubator calculates it here.

Not surprisingly, there are many ways to connect the father of the U.S. financial system with mathematics:

  1. Check out this article from the Mathematical Association of America on the various proposed methods of apportioning representatives in Congress (including methods from Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson).
