Hometown: Macon, GA
Experience: "I have a Master’s degree in Education, and I'm a Teach for America alumni. I spent four years as a middle school math teacher and one and a half as a department chairperson before joining Carnegie Learning."
Why Carnegie Learning? "As a teacher, no other other publishers or edtech companies could compare to Carnegie Learning. Carnegie Learning does a great job connecting different skills and concepts and infusing multiple representations of math. I saw a great amount of growth in my students when we used Carnegie Learning materials. They left my classroom with an appreciation and deeper understanding of mathematics."
Fun Fact: "I was a military brat, and I was born in Germany."
"Mr. Bland was an excellent facilitator. He not only provided a comfortable and collaborative work environment, but also encouraged dialogue across schools. I would HIGHLY recommend this PD to ALL of the teachers in the district. Thank you Mr. Bland for all of your help and support!"
"Lemario was prepared, engaging, professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. I will use the strategies in my class."
"The training was very informative and I learned a lot. Mr. Bland was an excellent facilitator and it was fun."
